figured i should write something for the new year.

so i shall take a moment and look back at what happened in 2015~

January:
i was still hooked onto toshokan sensou, buying japanese novels, raving over v6.

grandma was almost hospitalised during this period, it was scary. but yes i spent most of my winter break in the hospital as a caregiver. pretty much about it.

p/s: i also started touken ranbu (oh god i havent played it for so long)

February:
it's the start of spring semester, i actually found out that i'm pretty darn good in history (well, my history was better than my geography to begin with, until secondary two when i liked geography better than history. it's just because of the history being tested in Os that i wasn't interested in). sociology of film's professor made me cry with 3 peas in a pod.

InCoWriMo! i'm still intending to participate this year

of course there's chinese new year

March:
i passed my BTT with full marks, not that it's reflected but i've still not gotten my driving license because i'm too lazy to find an instructor.

went to anisong world tour lantis festival in singapore with isabel (senpai) too! first ever concert and we are very proud of our lightsticks. we came out with a sore throat and muscle aches. bring out your inner wota.

April:
I HAD SOMEONE DRAWING A DOUJIN FOR MY FIC /SCREAMS/ it means so much for a writer. i am now a writer who has people drawing doujins for my fic. oh god no it just means a lot i remember going around telling people almost having tears in my eyes. this is what really keeps me writing. having people actually like what i write.

of course i was paralysed by the workload by here as usual. i had to list everything out and doing breathing exercises while i write my research papers and analyses. i know i had to write one paper like i was writing NaNoWriMo. i cant remember if the word count was 5,000 words or 10,000 words but yeah. we had to finish it in a week.

May:
semester break! i did a letter fic things where i wrote fic prompts by hand and send them out as letters. it was fun, i might do it again soon. also got the tickets to takizawa kabuki for katie and i.

i was in an au boom here iirc.

we caught avengers: age of ultron at midnight too! we were chill like this because we were having a family chalet. it was good, it was empty, it was freezing cold because we almost literally wore our pjs there.

June:
summer semester! we went to watch jurassic world. it was amusing because grandma watched with us and mum's freaking out in the theatre. dad and i were so chill like "oh he's gonna die". it was an empty month because i only had one module.

hello baby au was born here oh god. and we were planning for our yutoyama exchange.

July:
ansatsu kyoushitsu's live action movie with shuping! i was having a fever but it was worth going out to watch it. i also watched it another time with ingrid when she's in sg! so i met her and lisa mei for the first time and gosh cuties they are.

also, i dropped into the fandom of 盗墓笔记 just right here. cries a little. i blame dad. it's so good i'm still there.

i also got my fountain pens. also wen to the batting centre for the first time with shuping and ingrid! we obviously started to live our non-existential baseball life. i had adolescence psychology here and i really love the professor and the module. showed me that i'm good at social psychology for one thing.

August:
yye was happening! so i was juggling through papers and being an exchange moderator and then fell into being a pinch hitter. aka finishing a fic in 2-3 days

WE WENT TO THE BIRD PARK. MY BROTHER AND I WERE VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT AND SCREAMED "PENGUINS" ONCE WE WERE IN. we were more excited than our twin cousins who are in primary school. p/s: both of us are tertiary students. oops?
finals week was bad. i was sick as usual.

i also found out about how 盗墓笔记 fandom can suck your money through fics. they publish their fics into books. it amazes me because it doesnt happen in the english fandom and this is all so new. i regret everything but everything looks so pretty so yes i am still buying them /cries/ and they have very long and complicated stories. it is amazing.

Takizawa Kabuki with kaite! it was amazing. i wasnt really hyped for it because of the new fandom i am pretty obsessed with, but then once it started, i have a whole new respect for idols from johnny's entertainment. they are amazing and it is totally a different feeling from watching it on the dvd. the impact is great and i was never bored for a moment. salute to johnny kitagawa for saying that if we were bored for a moment during the duration of the concert/show, he would return our money back to us. it was really worth the money and i never regretted going for it. we also go very excited singing rasa sayang for the first time. it's like a mini NDP concert half way through for SG50.

September:
Penang trip half way through the fall semester. i was totally wind up which i dont even know why. well, i was decreasing my use of the laptop and being on my phone for long periods of time. penang trip was fun! the jeep up the penang hill was probably our highlight because it got colder, and i felt like i was going to fly down the damn hill. i swear it's not a hill but a mountain (it's just because singapore doesnt have such a high hill. i mean look at bukit timah hill ................)

i also almost fainted in school. it was horrible because i hit my head.

i also continued to marvel over how chinese is such an elegant and complicated language where you can say so much with so little words.

i've also started to knit again.

October:
went to watch boruto the movie and it was a new experience for me. i normally watch movies on my laptop and watching a naruto movie in the theatre was nice (okay i watched K the movie in the theatre too but that was a little different because it was only available for a few days. boruto was there for a longer time).

i didnt go around interacting with people a lot this period of time, both irl and online. it's not that i hate interaction. but i just felt like i needed to be alone. and basically because i'm spending all my time reading and i really dont like to be interrupted while i do that so ... yeah i kinda disappeared (i'm sorry!).

fall semester didn't feel like a semester because it still feels like i'm on semester break. it was bad.

November:
we had to do a poster for class. and we almost technically finished that in a day. look at us being so chill. we got full marks for that in the end. all ends well.

shuping and i did the dumbest thing we can for our birthday. basically buying each other a /cough/ pillow. no regrets.

December:
i ended up on 盗墓笔记's mobile game. yeap. /cries a little/ and then i turned 21. i also changed my phone. dad gave it to me as a birthday present (well, it helps. my previous phone dropped into the toilet bowl ..........................................).

and i was sick for almost half a month.

we went to batam! the go kart was fun. and i didnt sleep properly. and i was still sick when i was there so it doesn't really help.

went to karaoke with isabel (senpai), shuping, and laikeuw too. it was actually fun after we stopped being awkward. we basically trashed all songs except chinese songs. oops?

i think i met shuping the most this holiday.

last meet up was with yanhan, shuping and layling on the 30th. we went bowling www

and that was 2015!

thank you all for being part of my life, and i hope it will be better this year.

classes just started. i'm only having two modules this semester since they are both reading modules. however, i'm reading my books instead of my actual texts that i am suppose to read for class. still feels weird that i am back to having classes. it still feels like i am on holiday /curls up and cry/.

I HAVE MY PHYSICAL COPIES OF 盗墓笔记. that and i actually bought a few printed fanfictions, and a doujin (and well, there's more to come). it makes me happy? i am so happy for the fic writers because they get to publish their works and everything's really pretty (yay chinese fandom!). they get to collaborate with artists as well, and just. do we have artists in our english fandom? or at least in hsj/je? not so much i guess. and they write like ... literally novels. their fics are literally novels. long fics makes me happy. and some of those that i read are actually scarier than the main text. 

progress report: i'm on the sixth book right now.

i'm a writer, want-to-be photographer. into japan, in terms of fashion, music, bands, culture, language and anime/managa. also an avid fujoshi and support the cause of love is equal.
sarcastic and closed in. prefer a book or video game over going outside. i have a hobby of collecting mangas and having deep talks (philosophical topics) with my dad. i can be an intellectually engaging partner, or totally just rubbish.
