University Application
Sunday, 24 March 2013 @ 10:05 am
because there's only a few more days before it's April ...
i'm not totally done with the applications to universities and well it's hard since my results are the most glorious of all orz. probably still going through the
'i-will-not-deal-with-you-if-you-ask-about-my-results-because-i-will-murder-you' state too.
but what's done is done and so i'm trying to scrape out a portfolio now, in hopes to enter ADM
(NTU). and on the side note, i really hate the credit card system, ARE YOU NOT GOING TO ALLOW ME TO PAY FOR MY APPLICATION FEES VISA?
/flips/ on the side note i feel like working already because i dont want to rely on my parents so much on the miscellaneous fees for university
(well, i mean the tuition fee is hefty enough).
i shall just shut up here and go off somewhere and start doing something, yeah

Tomorrow's the day; RELEASE OF GCE A LEVELS RESULTS /inserts dramatic bgm/
well, all i can say is that i've done my best for the papers and i can only hope that i did well enough to land me somewhere in a university (well, my dream is to be in the Faculty of Arts and Social Science in NUS), if not i am actually planning to enter an Arts College and study about arts. yeah. thing is that my parents aren't really pressing about results because ... i'm the only one in the family (so far) that actually got this far in education. but as for my relatives ... lol they'd be judging if i dont end up somewhere in a university, so yeap. i'm pretty much alright with my relatives but just lol nope, whenever they start talking about my education like they are me. for one, they almost wanted to flip when i chose the Arts stream (but not so, since my subject combination is actually a hybrid) for my two years in Junior College.
and they went all "so do you know what you want to do in the future?" i really dont like it when people ask me that particular question. you are asking me what i want to do for the rest of my life when i'm literally at the starting point of it. well of course i have dreams but they are pretty much quickly shot down as "this isn't realistic" or "can you even earn enough to feed yourself?". and everyone likes to tell me this, "not everyone gets a job that they like" why of course we don't. but can't we dream? reality and the sense of survival has killed dreams.
i almost want to get into philosophy or liberal arts (omg my Yale-NUS dream school /sobs). if i can't get into liberal arts, i will choose japanese studies or language major in english. and then if i can't ... i don't know what else i might be able to enter. mum jokingly said that i might end up majoring in mathematics or chinese (because i almost didn't take mathematics in JC but in the end i did and i took H2 mathematics).
i should just stop my rants and start my mental preparation for tomorrow.Labels: a levels, oh hi I'm riko, oh school, rants

@ 12:10 am
because i'm running a fever and haven't gone to work for a few days because i'm in a total jelly human state and my brain is a mush and everything doesn't make any sense to me at all. weird thing was that the fever only started yesterday afternoon, so in the morning my mind was fresh and i even managed to write a drabble. but i didn't get any sleep because my headache kept me up. the fever only got worst today and i had to force myself to take the fever medication by cutting the pills into half so i wouldn't choke on them (i've choked on them and i now have a phobia for them, this isn't funny at all). my temperature managed to go up to around 38.0 degree Celsius and that's very high for me because my normal body temperature is real low (like around 36.5 and below normally).
on the side note, technically one more day before the release of A levels results. good luck

J's Journey
Sunday, 24 February 2013 @ 1:55 pm
This is like my favourite photo from takachii's J's Journey in France. finally finishing it after so long makes me feel so empty like, gosh woah. generally an emotional investment whenever JUMP is involved anyway. was finishing this up at my cousin's house and i think my relatives were kind of surprised that i'm just watching a Japanese travel show (or should this be like a challenge show? i dont even know) without subtitles. well, i like to watch them without subs now tbh, and one thing helpful about J's Journey is that they do write Japanese subtitles at some points so i just read the Japanese ones instead /cackles/
i will just find something else to amuse myself now while i'm at my cousin's house.
on the side note, my results are coming out soon /screams in terror/ oh well, may i get into the Faculty of Arts and Social Science. that's probably the only thing i want. hopefully i actually do do well enough to get somewhere in a university, that's probably what all it matters now.
also when it comes to March, only a few more days before the JE calendars are released (tentative release date: 9th March)! and well, after that would be April (okamori month!) and Karneval's anime would be out asdfghjkl.
oh i need to go down to kinokuniya and get April's issue of Myojo because it's precious. good thing i have income coming in for another month ... welpLabels: a levels, animanga and idol spazz, hey say jump, oh hi I'm riko

JUMP; the group that changed my life
Monday, 12 November 2012 @ 1:40 am
I have many JUMP feels now, please bear with me (I'd use on with Ryutaro but then ...)
Wasting my time over the past few days watching JUMP's new Concert DVD and it was totally worth it because I was never bored at any point of time during the duration of both discs. The stage set up was amazing and how they managed to make the flow of the concert go so well with each transition of the songs were really amazing. I mean, they kept changing their costumes and suddenly appears with a new one, almost at lightning speed. I'm so proud they've mastered the art of changing costumes.
Of course, I love to see how they dance as usual. May be it's because they have many members because they can make many formations and that intrigues me a lot. My favourite dancers still remains the same, Yamada Ryosuke and Nakajima Yuto (OTP!, well Morimoto Ryutaro too but ...). So yes, the DVD is amazing and they are as dumb and stupid as usual at backstage and I love how they started to abuse their limited knowledge of Chinese in Taipei.
5 more papers left for A levels!
I'll need to find a work after that to earn money and plan for a trip to Japan with Vai (to probably watch JUMP's next concert since we wouldn't be able to catch Johnny's World in January). Anyway I went to AFA 2012 on Saturday, it was worth it. The best booths were at the Creators' Hub because everything was beautiful. The prints and arts there were amazing. Too bad I didnt buy any prints but I bought a stash of badges. I might just cosplay with my brother next year, he has been bugging me for ... idk, years?
I dont feel like sleeping because I want to re-watch JUMP's DVD. Yes, it's that amazing.Labels: a levels, animanga and idol spazz, hey say jump, oh school, rants

A LEVELS IN 4 DAYS. Kichii's reaction helps to voice out how I feel, a lot.
So the two-weeks study break is coming to an end, I've finished my revision for Chemistry, half of Mathematics, General Paper has already been done since Pre-As and none for Geography and Economics because there's still time for those papers. Well, it seems that I'm still on time for my revision. Someone just stop me from procrastinating.
And because I've procrastinated, I'm addicted to the manga-going-to-be-anime [Karneval].
Lovely storyline with pretty characters, I love the art of the manga covers. Which is why I want the Japanese (a.k.a original) version of the manga. Well, I'll just start buying it from Kinokuniya after As. This is a good motivation yes?
I'm in love with Yogi, I swear. He's so cute.
Damn it, I should just go and work at Kinokuniya and make them pay me in the form of books. Worth it (loljk, I'd use my salary and buy the books tho, so it's the same).Labels: a levels, animanga and idol spazz, oh hi I'm riko, oh school, rants

Second week of Term 4 is over just like this, wow. Managed to survive this week all because of Yanhan and Stephanie, have to love both of them really much (though we insult each other equally much). I haven't been online for the longest time ever and I haven't really enjoyed RL for a very long time like this, although it is stressful.
I'll probably be working after A levels, and hopefully Yanhan and Stephanie would be working with me. We'll be planning to go to Korea with the pay we've earned, asdfghjkl. This is now my motivation.
On the side note, I'm waiting to purchase Perfume's concert tickets (asdfghjkl Nocchi!).

Harry Potter & TGX2012
Tuesday, 11 September 2012 @ 4:56 pm
Went to Harry Potter: The Exhibition with Yanhan last Friday! It was awesome and the Potter-head in me go all excited /cries/ The costumes they have in the movie was really pretty, and it was like you're walking into the set itself (no, I'm just exaggerating). Kind of regretted that I didn't get the Slytherin scarf though, and even more regrettable was that I almost got to see Naya (who was in the group before us). On Sunday, I went TGX2012 with my family! The cosplayers were awesome and I swear that I almost cried on the spot. Dad was saying that I'm feeling too much feelings for anime (and that I shouldn't spend all my time on animangas or my JE idols because I'm suppose to have my A levels in a few months time). Oh well, I'd be studying a lot for the next few months I guess, not that I can choose anything else because it is the A levels after all.
We're back to school and I have no idea why school makes me hungry all the time. Going to start running (slim down)! I'm graduating on the 19th October, and will be on study leave until the start of A levels. Time's going to pass really fast :(Labels: a levels, animanga and idol spazz, harry potter, oh hi I'm riko, oh school, photograph
